That trembar looks like a car part. Something in the engine. It looks like someone ripped it out of their rusted out car in their yard and screwed it to their guitar. I don't get it. Why would somebody look and that thing and think "yeaah, THAT'S what I want on my guitar!! A car part!"{perplexed look}

"WHY WOULD SOMEONE DESTROY AN IBANEZ AND NOT SOME GARBAGE EPIPHONE?!"

Ibanezkid, I would NOT consider this guitar DESTROYED. The owner made several screwholes in order to make a tremolo/midi guitar, but that's not so bad as making a (often too big) routing for a third pickup.

When was this MIDI hype? End of the '80s beginning of the '90s. So the GK2 was probably mounted then. What experimenting guitarist did, was: look for a guitar that was NOT considered very valuable, (NO FENDER, NO GIBSON), so mostly they used some Japanese or Korean guitar. That could have been a Condor or a Westone or an Epi Strat, or a Squier. Just something you had lying around anyway or that you could buy second hand for little money.

Wonderbars are typically parts for guys who couldn't decide between a Les Paul and a Strat. It's a pity that one finetuner is missing. It must be worth something if fully functional.

By selling it you could get some of the restauration cost back. Or you can leave it this way and start experimenting with an old Roland GR1.

The GIBSON CASE that comes with it is worth about $125-150.

Thats def. a Washburn trem.Most of the Washburns ive seen were black- model 2001.Never seen one like that?Looks to be a 4 speed transmission w/ overdrive!Its funny all the Washburn trems i seen were retro- fitted on early Ibanez models

...and of course, the black plastic hood ornament attached to that windshield wiper is a roland midi converter guitar pickup. That's not too invasive an addition, and it's kinda, sorta cool along with that old GM-70 and some cool sounds (I have the setup myself).

I just bought a roland GK3 synth pickup. I'm thinking about mounting it to my Bob Weir. When I'm done, I'll post some pictures !

That Midi pickup is an old GK-1 pickup, but it doesn't appear to have the GK-1 card that is required for it to hook up to any vintage 24 pin Roland stuff. It's almost worthless unless the seller has the card with the built-in 24 pin cable.

Reading about these midi modifications can get me all worked up. I got my FA100NT from a guy who put a midi on it "to play around". It really isn't too bad with the two tiny holes but every time I see them, they just make me want to cry.
