Here's one that's just come up in Scotland Och Aye tha Noooo! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2384&item=7315750375&rd =1 Note the zebra rear pup. Same colour bobbins as my mates version of the same guitar. BTW, that's a white bobbin and not a cream one. Basically ink stamped on the bottom but without the "Super 70" . Reads "Antoria Custom Agent" on the pickguard. No Serial # and flower pot inlay so early. Hope sellers not thinking of shipping it in that cruddy old box! six |

Aye – the Scots know how to save money ( a bit of Scot in me I’m afraid laddie). When he refers to ‘rare classic’ he’s referring to the cardboard box as it look like the original one. I’ll offer him £2 for the box providing he pays the postage. The bridge pickup looks like one of the 70s pickups that look like open coils but actually have a cover. I’d have thought the price was quite reasonable. |

I know the open coil cover you mean Billy but this one just looks like a removed cover to me. I've seen two of these over here (both Colin's) and both had regular gold covers. six |

I've not looked at the guitar in question but my Antoria Custom Agent has the pickup that Billy refers to. |

Six: Is this a British colloquialism? I'm curious, can you expound, please? |

Hi John, It's more like those immortal words uttered by Bob Hope in 'The Road to Morocco'.... "Well I'll be a Monkey's Uncle." Love that movie. six |

Have to jump in here to support Six (to rescue him from the foot of his stairs!). My Antoria CA has both gold covers intact just as he describes.Pickups have 5 digit inked numbers on underside, bit no 'Super 70' sticker. Otherwise guitar is as above (no serial #; flowerpot inlay). Sadly Billy, mine has no accompanying cardboard box, just a hard case Padraic |

Six: What's the negative connotation about stairs? You gotta start at the bottom sometime. Many years ago, a good Compuserve buddy from the UK explained to me the thought behind the phrase "sitting below the salt". It was a cool lesson in the history of salt. |

Re - I'll go to the foot of my stairs. Yes a strange British colloquialism but I think Sixvsix is using the posh version. I’ve heard it used mostly in Yorkshire where they say (phonetically) ‘Well al go t’foot of stairs’ when ever anything surprising happens (like England winning at football or Rugby). In Yorkshire they even say this when they live in bungalows. |

Another good one is ..."F*!k my old boots!" I tend to use that one a lot The posh version of that is: "Seduce my ancient footwear!" John mate, don't mention 'negatives'. You sound like my boss! Thanks for the life line Padraic six |

"Well I'll go to the foot of my stairs...." I remember that line from Jethro Tull's "Passion Play". (a MAJOR fave of mine) I had no idea what Ian meant, "posh" or otherwise, until now... but it certainly worked well lyrically, given the intricate time signature. Thanks Six!} |
