Just bought a 2622 off of ebay.. this is what the seller told me: Ok.. I plugged in. Passive is working fine all pickups. When you throw the switch to the EQ it works and is a major boost. If you wiggle the cord while in ACTIVE mode, you will hear crackling and feedback. As is VERY common with vintage Ibanez, the input jack for active is not functioning properly. Generally, that means replacement. Not a huge deal, but like I said, I want you know whats going on. Its very possible it could use a cleaning and some contact fluid. Safe bet would be a new input for the active. The Eq knobs all function ok when it is in active. Am I going to need schematics and diagrams to get this stuff fixed or is it just an imput jack problem? If yes to the first question, could anyone mail me some? Thanks! jscottpeters@gmail.com is my email. thanks, Josh |

Josh, You might want to spray contact cleaner on your guitar jack and then put insert it in and out from your input jack. You also might want to check your input jack for cold solder joints. I'd definitely do that before digging into the schematics I posted. Patrick |

Josh, it is also possible, that those contact "springs" are a bit loose. With needle-nose pliers, or tweezers, try to bend those a little bit, so they are tighter, and make better contact with the plug! |
