I've had this guitar for a few years now. Im just wondering how rare it is and how much would it's value be in US$. It's missing the whammy bar and I don't think the tuners are the original ones. I'm thinking it's around 400 - 500 dollars but I wante dto be sure.

Any info would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Tebs

The model 2354 is one of the most common Ibanez copies: you see them pop up on Ebay almost weekly. Therefor, for a collector it is only of interest to wait until a fully original one pops up which is in (near) mint condition. In that case still the price would be around 350 dollars.
Because your guitar is missing the whammy bar and has replacement tuners, IŽd say 200/250 bucks would be a realistic value.
If youŽre lucky to sell it to a player who really wants an Ibanez SG and does not care about originality, you might be lucky and sell it for a little more.

Kind greetz,
Harry

Thanks for the info. I'll try to post a pic sometime tomorrow. I'm thinking of letting this one go since I need a guitar with a floyd rose bridge. If anybody's interested let me know!

Oh...I forgot to mention that the 2354 I have is the pre-lawsuit one because it still has the openbook headstock. Also, judging from the neckplate it looks like it's a 1971-1973 version since it has light stamp inlay that says "Made In Japan" and no serial number. Does this make a difference in value?

I really need to take pictures.... I'll post them over the weekend if I get the time.

Thanks! Any additional info would be appreciated.
