Does anyone know if the LR10 (LEE RITENOUR) signature model is vastly different in spec to the AS100? They appear to be similar in hardware, but maybe the selection of woods is different. There's an LR10 on ebay about to close that I'm keen on. Cheers Steve Ebay Item #250155624913 |

I'd jump at the LR10 if the price/bids are reasonable. So far, it's getting up there on that auction. However, the condition appears to be very good. The LR10 has superior body woods, exotic and expensive Brazilian rosewood fretboard, and Ritenour tweaked Super 58's. There is something really special about these pickups!! Plus LR10's were a very limited production model. I've owned two of these instruments over the years, and the tone is much better than any AS100 and different (in a good way) from an AS200 or even the 2630. |

In short. Once owned a very nice LR10 but for me, personally, the neck was too shallow. The AS100/200's I've played have a more rounder feel to the neck so they suit me better. Sound wise there isn't much in it. Both models sound good. six |

Thanks Six, I have an AS100 from 81 and I'm happy with it. I missed the LR10 - the price got away a little - $1550 AUd - still not bad for the condition it was in, and only a few hundered more than I payed for my AS100, which is also mint |
