I think this Australian ad confirms that it is in fact a decapitated ELECTRA.

Ginger..its not an Electra at all. The guitar crazy site is wrong also. I have the catalog and the inlays are very different on this guitar than an Electra. It could be the Crestwood or any of a number of Agent type guitars, but it is NOT and Electra. If you notice the guitar in the picture (which is identical to the decapitated one) does not have any tag on it. In addition this "expert" site your using also calls it a Ibanez !

In fact I wasn't even looking for this guitar, but I bumped into it while googleing for pics of some Performers PF150,200 and 300 to see what the tailpieces, pickups and knobs are normally like.
Then I recognized the different MOP decal on the body and thought "hey, that's the same as the decapitated one".
Of course I missed the "e" logo (or is that ElecTA?), but I trusted on your reaction, of which I knew it would come...
BTW, IMO this guitar crazy CA is way overpriced don't you think?

Ginger, I don't think this guitar has ANY value to a collector at all in the condition it is in...as a player it may have some value as a curiosity, but not much more than like $150 or so, but only if it has a decent build (not plywood, no scarf joint)-its hard to determine thru the bull of this auction-including the coincidential bidders names !

I was talking about the "good" Australian one.
The broken one is not interesting at all.

Even the "good" one isnt worth much I'm afraid..I think the Memphis one sold for like $400 and it was MINT. I sold one and Manic Mike sold his to the same guy a couple of years ago.

Usually the neck inlay work is a dead giveaway. The correct ones are Ibanez and Electa, the others are copies.

At least that's what I have noticed looking at the different models.
