Is this a prototype or what?? That toggle switch or whatewer you call it looks like something i´ve seen on Bob Weir prototypes! And Startuners and no serial number as i can see.

Ebay Item #120179748953

Modded but nice looking. May bee a one of a kind Guitar!

I´m afraid the guitar is "lost" for the collector.
The seller writes that the pickups and the bridge were changed, as were the complete electronics.
Pity......This one seems to have a number "9" as a serial or sequence number. Seller says that he bought it in 1974 as he was a 15 year old kid.
The guitar has the old script logo and you hardly never see those ones..

Seller says he ships to Germany. If any of you American friends is interested and the seller doesn´t want to ship overseas: I will take care for handling and shipping for you.

Kind greetz,
Harry

Wonder if someone here on ICW aquired that beauty! Yes, modified but still, that script logo and the wine makes it a keeper! And the condition look real good!

This guitar is heavily modded, but looks perhaps to be a one of a kind anyway...anyone notice the shape of the control cavity cover ? Unique...Personally I dig the script logo

Didn´t notice the shape of the control cavity cover Dave. Yes, the script logo is a favorit, they shouldn´t stop use that! To expensive i guess!

Hi everybody,

I bought this one today and will pick it up on Wednesday. The seller lives about 100 km from my home. Luckylie I have some parts to restore this Scruggs. If anybody is interested I can tell some more details in 3 days.

Ibanezer

Would you mind telling us for how much you bought this one? Congratulations and please show us the final result after you restored the guitar.

None of you have mentioned the reverse layout for the 2 Volume and 2 Tone controls. I have a picture of this that I sent to JohnS about 18 months ago. Definately an early one. Ok it has another mini toggle added and that weird selector but I have never seen a reverse control layout before.

Those of you who own a Scruggs, flip it over and check out the shape of the main inspection plate. Being a previous owner myself, and if memory serves me well, the edge of the plate nearest the bottom strap button is angled where as this one is dead straight.

Nice score Ollie. Please post some pics when you get it home
