Did the vined Weirs come out early enough to have the spaghetti Ibanez logos? I've seen a 1977 catalog picture of a Professional (scruggs) with the spaghetti, but can't find a Weir with one. The earliest Weir catalog photo I can find is in the 1978 complete catalog.

Weir had one... (I know that doesn't answer the question).

Yes Chucke. There are a few Weirs and Artist models out there with Speggy logos. Most of these are probably pre serial number. My old Scruggs had a Speggy logo on the slant. I think JohnS and Bobzilla's guitars have the same slanted script.

For example, my G76 Weir has the block logo where as my pre serial number 2619 Type 1 has the script.

Mine (2671) has it... plus the logo pup covers, super 70's inside. There's photos here on ICW. Guitar would have been better off as a doorstop without Dave's work and now it's one of my faves.

I'm just figuring out a new long-term goal to add a spaghetti logo vined Weir to my collection to go along with the Artwood Twin. It will be years, probably, but dang wouldn't they look nice hanging next to each other?

The Russian Ibanez catalog site comes and goes, but if it's up, this link will take you to a 1976 catalog that has all the lovely "spaghettis with vines", and it also includes custom agents, the black eagle bass, and one other guitar I haven't seen before. Man, what would it be like to own one of each of the guitars in that catalog? Mmmmmmm.
