1994 reissue Weir with vines. Has any...

Author Message   Rick Stoner Posted on Friday, October 08, 2004 - 10:59 am:    I have an immaculate Weir, with vines, s/n H94xxxx. I can't find any information on it. I have been told there was a limited reissue, sold only in Japan and Europe. Does anyone know ANYTHING else about this, or has anyone else come across one? It's very surprising to me that they went to so much trouble, having to tool up to make small runs of so many parts. L   Harold Posted on Friday, October 08, 2004 - 10:59 am:    Rick, I have seen and played a Bob Weir re-issue. I was Not impressed with the re-issue I played. I thought the guitar was over priced. I believe Ibanez attempted to go Retro by re-issuing the Bob Weir with Vine inlay. I think they dropped the idea. At one time I had a 77 Bob Weir with Vine inlay and it looked, felt, and played better than the re-issue. That doesn't mean your guitar is not good, great or otherwise. My opinon.
