Although this beauty has its share of cosmetic issues, I just couldn't pass it up. This is a 1978 IC400 Midnight Olive! Mark Hartman has a nice spread on his website about his IC400MO. I am a huge fan of the Iceman series myself and have been on the lookout for one for quite a while. Needless to say, they are few and far between. It has a good case of bucklerash on the back, an extra strap pin hole, and too many dings to count, but it will certainly take its place as a coveted personal favorite among my collection. This uncommon finish has always intrigued me. I've started this thread to invite the membership to post photos of their own Midnight Olives. I look forward to the eye candy. js |

Oh my god! I was asking around here years ago about that color and nobody had ever heard of it! I had a buddy who had an Artist (AR300 I think) in that color and I thought it was the coolest guitar. I thought it must have been a refin since nobody around here could tell me anything about it. I'm glad it's a real finish, now I can hold out hope (well a little anyway) of finding one some day. |

Orval: That's a beauty! The MO guitars are very hard to photograph and do justice to the deep, rich finish. |
