Greets all! I have a sweet AR300 with a serial # A830217 and was wondering how early in the production run this might be in terms of days (Why? Because I stay awake night thinking about the minutiae, that's why - It's an illness). Anyone care to guess how many pieces of each model guitar (or total) they were cranking out of the Fuji plant on a daily basis back then? Also, does the serial # refer to a sequential order by specific model or "family", or is it simply a running total of guitars as a whole- i.e. is my Artist the 217th GUITAR or the 217th AR300 from Jan 1983 or how does that all work? Thanks for any insight. Z |

it is a running count of ALL guitars made that month regardless of model. They never figured on making and never made more than 9999 guitars in any single month while using that serial format. I really couldnt hazard a guess on how far into January the 217th guitar was made. JD might be the person to guesstimate the closest. |
