Don't see this very often...

A picture of two Scruggs specials taking a well earned breather after a good thrashing at a jam session at the Old Volunteer pub in Nottingham.

Yeah, although it looks to be solid state which is my point.

However, not many bands have made Peaveys sing stronger than those bad boys from Jacksonville (pre '78) Skynyrd. You've never heard anything more powerful and pure than that original band!

Don't worry chaps, they were only leaning there for a few seconds for the photo ;o)

Also they were played through a big Peavey solid state head, a Citation I think, not the bass amp. They sounded really good, much better than I expected. I usually play mine (the brown one) through Fender valve combos and I was surprised how gutsy it sounded through the Peavey.

I've owned 4 Peavy SS amps since the mid 70s. I just got my first tube Peavey, last week. It's a 1994 Classic 30 Tweed. Except for the occassional tube rattle, I like it a lot.

John, I had a few Peaveys myself. A bandit, Bandit Special, A tube version of the bandit and now I have the 120 Special.
