Do you think this is a fake? I have a 79 st50 and it has the mop inlay on the headstock. any opinions? Freak? Johns? anyone? |

Wrecks, I believe the seller got some confirmation on this for being an Ibanez ST55 from a well known and respected ICW member. If he does not see any issues in this guitar I certainly don't. Paul |

It's not a fake. They used MOP (or Abalone) and regular gold on alot of different models. I have an ST50, ST55, and an ST300 with the Gold lettering. It looks pretty authentic except for the replacement tuner and it looks like a replaced pickup selector switch as well. |
