Tubescorcher: The pictures aren't the best, but I see what looks like the faint signs of an arched top to me. |

Again, I am the individual that purchased this instrument and it definitely has the carved/arched top to it. It is a beautiful instrument. I am so happy to have won the auction. My interest in the Musician line actually started when I was 16 (some 27 years ago) and I was in a music store and the owner was showing my friend and I the instrument, but said we couldn't touch it because it was too expensive unless we had cash to buy it right then and there. Well, to make a long story a little shorter, I had always wanted one. Now I have added a beautiful 2700 and MC550DS to my small collection. I am a "players condition" collector. Looking forward to learning more about the Musician series from everyone here. |

mc500.... definite archtop. mc400 no arch top and that's the diff between the 500 and 400. |
