Michael: Did you intend that both links would be for the same item? |

No, I made a mistake. Here's the one I meant to include plus another one: http://www.qksrv.net/click-1802666-10381315?loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D7359202032 http://www.qksrv.net/click-1802666-10381315?loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D7360890218 |

I've seen the first two before, but the last one is a new one on me. I like this statement: "I took the guitar to guitar center and they told me it was early 60's (perhaps older)and would sell for around 1000 or more in their store. They told me it was quite rare and that it was a 3/4 version and that the case was very unique and worth some money. (yes I will include the case.)" Good grief! |

My first electric was a '64 Ibanez 884, if I remember it was just $100.00 out the door. Had to drive to the FAR South Side of Chicago where they were being sold. Big |

I am definitely no vintage Ibanez expert and sometimes I doubt my English is good enough to understand everything that is posted on the internet, so my question is: Are these guitars really old Ibanezes or just fakes? The sanded headstock of the second one is rather suspicious .... The string retainer across all six strings is pretty common on ebay, is it a sign for a particular make? Mick f |

Hi Mike some little help about the sixties ibanez decade. www.sixties-ibanez.com The "sanded" headstock is the old, weathered white color of the headstock. Totally destroyed. This was the first white neck, that i ever seen bevor, some examples are on the early catalogues, but the flashlight takes the work hard, to find out, what`s original and what is "lookalike" Definitly the unknown 1962 serie was sold with natural and with neck !
