Hello, I have been looking at catalog scans of the 76 version of the2681 and they all mention the inclusion of a phase switch on the guitar. I did not think that these had a stock phase switch on them. Can anyone shed some light on this? Harry and Hasys sight as well as Jim Donahues both have catalog scans that mention the phase switch, see for yourself(scroll down to the 2681): http://www.break-even.org/ibanez/1976/artist.htm |

Also, look at the catalog scan right under Gregt Perrines picture here, it mentions "Phase selector switch. http://www.noahjames.com/vintagepage/BW.HTML |

Jeff: However, there's no phase switch in the picture of the 2681 (on either site). And there is a phase switch in the picture of the 2671...but there's no mention of it the description. Maybe the descriptions got reversed? I've seen a number of inaccuracies/mistakes in Ibanez's literature, especially in the early years. |

John, Yeah I noticed that there were no phase switches in the pictures. Weird huh? Also to make it stranger, the 2680 catalog scans do not mention a phase switch. You maybe right about the descriptions being reversed, however it seems as the rest of the info is accurate. |
