In the 1977 catalogue, I found the following description:
The first distinguishing feature of this model is
the striking laminated construction of maple and
a viriety of exotic hardwoods including Zebra and
Ash.

This excerpt is about 2710. (And of course, it's true of 2700.)
Now I have a question.
In what part of the guitar is the "Zebra" used?
My guess is that it is the thin piece of wood on the headstock.
Every 2700 and 2710 seems to have very strange,
sometimes
unearthly, figure/patten of wood.
(BTW, this applies to MC models as well.)

Does anyone have information?

For example, please visit the URL below and have a look
at the third picture from the top in the page.

Thanks in advance.
