here's the link... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7383090848&rd=1&sspagename=ST RK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1 I had agreed on a price with the seller. When I contacted him this morning, to send him the money, he says I am "too late!" (Which is ridiculous because we had already agreed on a price.) In any event, I wanted this one REAL BAD and I thought it was mine. I gotta figure one of you guys got it?! Yes?! |

Well Michael... I guess I will never know! Still waiting to see if someone here got it. They'll be others (ar500's)but what bugs me about this one is the seller. Why tell me I can have the guitar and then tell me it's too late when I try to send the money? Silly. Congrats to whomever got it, it's the seller that ticks me off not the buyer. Nobody even bid on it at $750! I was in cointact with him throughout the entire auction and like I said, we agreed on a price. That was a bit nasty of the seller to pull the rug out like that. Probably would have worked to sellers advantage to just tell me he had another offer and allow me to try to beat it. OH Well. No use crying over spilled ar500's. Now I am just interested to know which of you lucky devils got it. (I wanted to say "my ar500" but I said "it" instead.) |

Pit... shoot 'em! (no joke.) Looked like a nice one, ay? Man, this seller ruffled my feathers. It wasn't very nice of him to do what he did. Live and learn I guess. As for myself... it's important for me to keep my word, I actually care about it. It's another example of one of the FEW things I've learned in life.... which is.... without fear of reprocussions, humans will do whatever they please. I hope he gets his payment in the form of a check, ships out the guitar and the check blows out the window and into a river before he gets it to the bank. (I sound like a big baby!) So what... I have a right to be a bit bent about this one. |

Bob, Unfourtunatly he wasn't bound by E-bay with your agreement. Even though some people don't honor an agreement through E-Bay. He more than likely took a better offer. I myself missed this one, It does look sweet and as you know I've been looking for an AR500 myself for quite some time. Your's will come!!! Just keep your ear to the track. Peace |

The pics and the headline are more pathetic than his selling behavior. I search under "Ibanez Artist" and "Ibanez AR" and I missed this one too...would have put the Scorch to it. However...I don't by anything shot in silhouettes...just pathetic...too-cool-for-school with his description too... 'em |

Not at all Strings!!!! I do hear your Carlos influence. The mp3 I sent you was just a test for a new drum program I got. I threw the kitchen sink at it. It did sound a little glee, now that I've heard it a few times. I wanted you to hear what the Tone Lab was capable of. Peace |

Tube... my last 2 recent experiences with trying to acquire an ar500 have been dismal. I could never imagine that it would be this difficult. Oh well, let's see who comes up with one first.... you or me. Good luck! That last one, even though the photos were "lacking" to say the least still looked like a fine one. Seller was supposed to have sent me better photos over the past weekend. When I asked him where they were I got the "You're too late" message. How can I be "too late" when I was in constant contact with him and... we had agreed on a price (which was $1200). Around 9 am on Monday, I was 2 seconds from bidding on it and there were less than 12 hours left in the auction. If I would have bid, I think he could not have ended the auction early. I think that's Ebay's rule, you cannot kill an auction with bids on it with less than 12 hours in the auction. I actually had my bid typed in the little bid box and decided not to pull the trigger. Oh well.... better luck next time. |

Hey Bob, I've lost about 5 guitars in the last 2 years that way. 3 of which were AR500's. I'm thinking it's time to just pull the trigger when you see the target. I bought an 82 IC400CS this way though. I was lucky to get a true and trustworthy seller on it. I searched 22 years for that one. I've only been on my AR500 quest for about 4 years. It will come one day. Peace |

If he would have had a "buy it now" I would have pulled the trigger. What gets me is... he lists it at $750, gets ZERO bids, I agree to his terms of $1200 and "ZAP" gone. My next fiasco will most likely occur tonite when I drive a few hundred miles to get a 12 string acoustic I am interested in. Watch... I will drive all the way there, knock on the guys door, cash in hand... and his wife will say... "He went out for cigarettes and never came back." Or some derivation on that theme. Notice how we still haven't found who got this ar500? You gotta figure there's a good chance it's somebody on this site. The listing itself was difficult to find just because of the way he listed it, I figure only a true collector would have found it through various search attempts (like I did.) So... still waiting... who got it? The only reason I even care at this point is because I am hoping some close-up photos will be posted here and I can cry. get it out of my system! |

Gentlemen... thanx for your support and... if you notice above... I was needling myself for being a big baby so.... I think it just came across worse than I really feel about it. That's the problem with the written word. I just thought it was a lousy thing to do, that's all. No big deal. |

It WAS a lousy thing for him to do...Anonymity is a wonderful veil for cowards, just head out on any highway and you see it...but the sun WILL come up tomorrow. Now watch, you'll trip over an AR 3000 for a song like Yogi did and you'd have been kicking yourself for tying up funds with this one. In the words of Bubba Clinton..."we feel your pain" |
