I have heard that thes guitars are very nice players. I have an ST55 i might be able to trade for one. I really want a strat... but ive heard mixed reviews about the pickups in these. DO these have alnico pups or ceramic magnet pups? This ibanez does not have any logo's on the headstock but "Ibanez" in black. |

I have a Silver Series strat from '78 and I confirm it's playability and brilliant sound. The pickups are staggered AlNiCo's |

Stocklx.... my guitar buddy for the last 25 yrs. has an old Ibanez strat (white). I believe he got it new in 1974-5? for apprx. $200-$250. And... I've been trying my best to buy it from him for all these years. He won't let go of it and the reason is... that strat totally kicks butt. Don't know which pups are in it but they are white singles and just the whole guitar is incredible. It plays and feels and sounds like an awesome strat. Maple neck. |
