I beleive my guitar is a 2619, bought in 78 and has coil tap switches on both pickups. It was my first electric, and has been sitting in the case for a long time. I have lost the original badly corroded hardware and want to replace it. Does anyone know if the Gibralter 2 bridge and tailpiece from the 2004 AR3000 will fit the inserts in guitars equipped with the original Gibraltar bridge? I'm also looking for a control cover plate, I don't know how I managed to lose that! This an old beauty that I kind of forgot about for awhile. I want to resurrect it. Anyone know who might have parts for these? |

Beerzgood: Check out Ibanez's parts section on their site: http://www.ibanez.com/parts/2004_PARTS/el_guitar/index/index_spec.html The tailpiece and ornament might fit. It's hard to say about the Gibraltar II bridge. I've seen this done. But it looks stupid with the rectangular brass block underneath. I'd look on ebay and the Free Classifieds section for the correct Gibraltar I bridge. They can be had, but they won't be cheap. Are your control cover plates metal or plastic? |

Beerzgood: It has been my experience that the answer is unfortunately no. The width for the studs is different and the cloud is smaller thus, hole spacing is different...even between the years of 79 & 80. Like JohnS says, you need Gibraltar I and the first issue cloud and tail. Bridges have been available on eBay lately...they are spend-y. Consider replating. There are some folk out here that have had some success with that process |

Here you go! They are worth about $100.00 so if you want it, erdfcv (gotta be someone out here) won't go higher than $75.00 based on his bidding history that I've seen. http://www.qksrv.net/click-1802666-10381315?loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D7384892395 |

Thanks guys. I had no idea this thing would become collectable. I have found a tailpiece set with cloud for $125, haven't bought it yet. I will probably bid on the bridge. It's more than what I thought it would be that's for sure! I am still kicking myself for losing the cover plate. It was brass. My other problem is the sustain block. I am thinking about just drawing it up and having it built in a machine shop. Is it a tight fit in the recess or fairly loose? The top follows the contour of the body top from what I remember. Does anyone know what the material is for the block? Is it plated steel or plated brass? |

I missed that one, anyway I need the saddles and all. The first bridge mentioned in this thread went for $165! I went up to $118 but had to stop there. |

Does anyone know if the ivory colored pickup rings for the AR-200 or AR 300, front and rear, available in the Ibanez catalog will fit the 2618-2619 models? The 2618-2619 rings are a different size to the regular Gibson rings. |

I dunno but I gave up and plugged the holes on my 2619 and mounted a modern day ring. What the hell, the guitar is beat up and the pups are not stock. But if you find out let me know anyhow. |
