In a local pawn shop yesterday I saw a Les Paul-styled guitar with an Ibanez Challenger (STRAT-style) neck. Did Ibanez ever make Les Paul-style guitars with Strat-style necks or is this guitar that I saw a "put-together" |

Hi Frank So another "monster of Frankenstein" popped up? It's certainly not an original "stock" Ibanez. Besides, I wonder what the previous owner might have been thinking: "I love the Les Paul body and pickups, but I'd rather have a Fender-style neck"? and then putting things together? Boy, I'd like to hear how this guitar sounds....the scale measurements of a Strat-type of guitar are different from the Les Paul's. If you don't make adjustments to the place where the bridge is, this guitar can never be in tune! Are you able to make a picture of it? I'd like to see this! Kind greetz, Harry |

I don't think I can get a pic ( a bit too awkward in the pawn shop). When I get a chance I'll go back and check the intonation though. |
