Hey all, I'm looking to wire a set of QM-1 and QM-2 pickups in my '73 Ibanez LP. Since the pickups were not stock I decided to change them out. Can someone give me an idea of a possible schematic to use? I've looked thru the Ibanez wiring site and found close, but not exact. The one that looks the best does not use the white wire and I know thats not correct. I have a good knowledge of wiring but am not quite sure how to work them into a LP config when they were used with a 5 way switch in a Jem. |

If they are 4 core, there's a way of wiring them series/split via only the vol & tone pots. With tone at 10 you have split single, but roll it down to 7 and you get series 'bucker. can be done on both pups on an LP for some intersting tonal variations and no hacking or boring new holes. If you can't find the diagram at DiMarzio, email me at geoff.geoffbyrne@gmail.com & I'll get it to you. geoff |
