IF THIS POSTED TWICE! SORRY ABOUT THAT! I'm thinking of selling my vintage early 1975 Ibanez "gibson Flying V" copy. it has no serial number, its definitly from early 75, someone gave me the following info on it. "What you have is a beautiful model 2387CT and it is a copy of the famous Gibson Flying V. Since your guitar has no serial number it was made before august 1975. Production of this model started in 1975, so you have an early one. There are no data about how many were made: the Japanese didnīt keep records on production or shipping amounts. You are very, very, lucky." "They are pretty sought after by collectors. I think your V has had the pickup covers removed by a previous owner in order to reduce the chance on microphonic feedback of the pickups. To be sure you have an early 1975: if there is no serial number stamped in the back of the headstock, this V is indeed from the first half of 1975." its in pretty good shape for 32 years. if anyone is interested in seeing pics of it. send me an email cliffdimerandy@restigouche.net |
