Greetings fellow ibanezoholics!!

This is my first posting in this forum but I've been lurking around for quite some time scanning old threads finding answers to my questions!
After a shot of tequila some pushups and a slap in the face, I finally decided to request an account...and here you are....stuck with me!

I own 4 Destroyer's (400cs, 555 and two 380's), great guitars!
I'll post some pictures later on.

Recently I've been having this urge to purchase an Ibanez SG! I have a specific item in mind, but I need help to see if its an original.

I think it's a 2354s-model, correct me of I'm wrong.I don't know if its a set neck or not.
VIN:J750045

sg1
sg2

Any info on this guitar would be greatly appreciated!!
Tried to google, but no.

Rock On!

John

Looks like the stop tail came in walnut and ivory. Some of the more experienced folks probably have more info.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome,I look forward to the pics.
I believe all 2354's are bolt on.Nice guitars,I have one.
That neck looks a little rounded at the end to be a 75 and the stop tail looks a little beefy too, like the kind that bolt through, rather than hook on.But it may just be the picture.
Mine came with a non original brass nut too, that's funny.

I believe this one's on eBay right now.

Apart from the brass nut it seems fine to me.

Abs:

Let us know what you think when you get it.

This specific SG replica model was the first Ibanez I ever owned. Mine was a '75, also. I have not seen one like this since I started ICW.

Most have the Bigsby style trem. Your's has the full pickguard, stop tailpiece and lawsuit headstock shape with keystone inlay that mine also had.

Mine definitely didn't have a brass nut and the finish was more opaque cherry. I'd be interested to know if this one has been refinished.

It plays alright, pickups are fine. Pots are smooth, no noice. It has most likely been refinished. The bodycolor
does not match the neck. Tuners have been replaced. It has a dead spot on the thin e-string around 12th fret. The paint has cracked between fretboard and neck on both sides all the way up/down! The brassnut is a horrible installation, functional but ugly as ..... Not the best buy I ever made.... Will post pictures tomorrow.
Let me know if there are any specific parts you want to see.

Wow, that Japanese Sunrise Destroyer is identical to the first electric guitar I ever bought. I worked full-time at a fast-food joint all summer when I was 16 just to buy that guitar. brings back very fond memories, it was a killer axe!! Nice collection!
