This is a crying shame. Maybe the case is worth a hundred bucks, and get a guitar-doorstop to boot! |

You don't think anyone here can restore it? |

That's weird, I thought they put a walnut veneer on the top of the headstock... but you can see the sandwich on the stripped version... |

I'd take a shot at it, but I'm saving what money I have for a 2619. It actually looks like a fun project to try and restore it. Of course, the winner must post pics - before and after shots! |

I like this "albino" Musician! Tis a shame that the headstock veneer is missing. Gonna make a nice project for someone. |

How much $$$ would you estimate needs to be dumped into this axe to bring it back to life? My estimate: $500 on the low end, if you farmed it out as opposed to a do-it-yourself job. I have a feeling we'll be seeing this axe down the road, in good shape. It's definitely tempting. |

I would say 5 to 750. Who knows what the eq needs to be salvaged? It would be a fun project though. |

I'll get that puppy up an runnin in less than an hour with the help of the ole parts bin...Give a couple of weeks for the refin, but no way is this an expensive deal..I'll bet the harness is at least 85% there....I'll say $200 tops to get er back to ship shape... |

I bet that thing will go for a pretty penny. I bet it goes for more than I paid for my MC400 with the flight case. Too many bleeding hearts *grin* Funny how the cloud tail piece orientation changes between pictures.. |

I've seen a ton of "project" guitars go for a lot more than they should. I think a lot of people get caught up with the notion of a restoration project and forget that they're about to spend more than an intact guitar would cost them. All it takes is two really enthusiastic bidders to let it get out of control. And I'm with you Dave, I have a few parts laying around as well that will get the puppy up and running pretty fast. js |

Looks like I was wrong, it went for 382.87... Did any ICW members win that auction? |
