I'm looking for parts for my Artist... a bridge with Sustain block, super 80's and a truss rod cover. One guy replied to my email and offered me a NOS bridge with sustain block for $225 US. Is this a rip or a fair price? Considering it's nearly a weeks pay for me and 1/3rd of the cost of the guitar in the first place, I'm leaning towards exorbitant. |

How many have you found? Those parts have not been made for 25 years. Price reflects supply and demand. In this case, the supply is mighty small. Steve |

I'd say thats a wee bit too much...but alas as Road has suggested, suppy and demand...the only question is..are you willing to wait until you find one thats lower in cost. |

Fomp...I have found that a request for parts on this board has resulted in some very decent trades and or donations to project guitars. This is a very generous lot ! |

Thanks Dave... unfortunately I haven't been able to come up with anything for my geets. If anyone is reading this who perhaps doesn't read the Classifieds forum please let me know if you've got any goods. Thanks -Mike |

Had another dig around in the box. I have a chrome Super 80 'cover' that you could replate and another Super 80 in chrome that has been rewaxed. It's pretty grim rewax but on the other hand I don't think it's a tapable pickup but a techy could probably tap the coils...maybe. I have another Super 80 that's gold but has been rubbed down so hardly any gold on it and it's a bit scratchy on the surface. You can have the lot for $100 Australian plus the post. However, personally I would leave the Super 70's in there Fomp. six |

I've bought a few bits from the seller in Snowjays link (a sustain block, 2 post's and 4 speed knobs), he isn't cheap, but at least the parts seem to be pretty good quality, the speed knobs were in their original (albeit very beaten up) packaging. |

Here's a bridge with posts. It went over $130 already with more five days to go. I guess the price for these are high because people are willing to pay. Ace http://www.qksrv.net/click-1802666-10381315?loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D7402476443 |
