I'm looking to buy two nickel/chrome covers for some Super 70s. Thanks. - Pete |

Doubt you'll find any nickel covers Peter. Never seen any on a Ibanez unless you pick up a gold pair and the gold has worn off. six |

Six - I guess I'm showing my ignorance here and asking for the wrong thing. What are the "chrome" covers made from? I just assumed they were a combination of copper/nickel/chromium plating over the base metal: steel, aluminum, whatever. That's the normal 3-stage chroming process. Thanks, - Pete |

Yeah that's right it the same but you hardly ever see chrome wearing off pickup covers and if it does it's more of a 'flaking' effect than a rubbing as you would normally find on gold plated covers. As far as I know, Ibanez only offered gold and chrome finish on their parts during the Super 70 production era. six |
