First, I got my as103bm-abr as a player's guitar, with collector's value secondary. They are very hard to come by in the US. One of the big dealers claims only 120 are being distributed here. The as103bm have wildly different tops because they are made from natural burl. They range from stunning to, frankly, very ugly. Mine has a top that looks like super-ultra-mega quilt throughout, very much like the Ibanez stock photo all over the web, but much prettier IMHO. Think Monet. I'd prefer one with larger pattern, like this one, even though it is less what Ibanez seemed to have in mind. Note the horns and larger swirls. Think Van Gogh. This would be a quick way for a collector to upgrade to type and see some cash -- or maybe mine is your heart's desire. I'm only interested in trades. You can contact fthibodeau*earthlink.net (of course, substitute the @. I'm not sure if this site gets crawled.) Send a picture of yours. |
