I own a Mc 500nt and a 2680 with av finish. I also have a ue 400 and 405. I am currently looking for on of the stated Ibanez delay units. I would be interested in an ad 202. I have an AD230 and a UE400. I've owned the UE405, AD202, AD100 & AD150 models, and more! The AD202 has multiple effects, including a very nice delay. However, unlike the UE400/405, you can only activate one effect at a time and if you change, for example, from delay to flanger, you'll need to dial in your settings from scratch, unless the settings that you like for your delay are acceptable when using the flanger. If you really are looking for a delay, the AD100 and AD150 are nice units and reasonably priced ($100-$200), assuming you can find one. They are not rackmount units - somewhat smaller. The AD230 (delay/flanger) is the cream of the crop, much harder to find and more expensive. They only made two models: natural and brown. If it's AV, I suspect it's a re-finish. The MC500NT must be really nice. I have an MC550NW that's beautiful. Thanks for the info on the delays. And my guitars! I talk about them all the time, but people just don't seem to be as interested as I am. Go figure! You know it's funny, I'm not really trying to sound like Bob Weir or Jerry Garcia, but I have come into these two guitars that are associated with both of them. The guys in my band are totally into The Dead as well. It's a little bit of story as to how I got started on vintage ibanez guitars, and I won't bore you guys with it. From what I can tell it's the same as most everyone else's; impressed with the quality vs the price.... Ok, now to the important part! The guitar in this link is Brown Sunburst, I believe. By process of elimination, mine would be Antique Violin. It could be that the sunburst is actually more rare than my mine. I really don't know. What I do know is that this guitar rips! I feel like such a badass just holding the thing! As far as the delay, let me know if you ever want to part with it Michael. Do you by chance have any of the other models? I am much more interested in the delay than any of the other effects, but I understand that the different models sound different, and even the same model can sound different from unit to unit. Your 2680 is AV and that in the link you've posted is BS. I have a 2617 in BS and the difference is apparent once you see the two in person. Is it burst or AV? I really do like the burst; It seems fancier. But mine is quite nice as well. Thanks for the link Jeff. I'm sure I would've found it today. I have actually missed out on five of these 202 models in a row! I finally dug in, and was able to aquire a Yamaha E1010 which arrived today (I haven't tested it out yet), but I definitely want to try out some Ibanez delays, too. As far as my affection with vintage Ibanez... It started in a small guitar shop here in Portland where they had an old pf 300 they said some kid had brought in after finding it in the attic. It had some mold residue on it, and they were selling it for cheap. They thought the toggle switch on it had been professionally installed as an aftermarket modification. I was floored by the amount of good usable tones that came out of that thing instantly! I counted eight distinct usable tones! At the time, I was strapped for cash, so I went home, got some gear to try to trade, and went back , but they had closed for the day. I figured, "Oh, well, I'll just go back in the morning", and left the gear in my car for convenience. But as you have probably already guessed, by the next morning the rear window of my car had been smashed in, and the gear had been stolen. I'm shaking my fist in the air right now. Bastards! Someone else bought the guitar. Ever since then I've sort've kept an eye out for the vintage Ibanez guitars which I like waaaaaaay more than the modern styles. I found the Weir on Craigslist here, and got the musician off Ebay. I love them both. The musician is great for things I want to sound clear and concise, and the Weir is great for just about everything in my opinion. I love the complexity of the pickups, and the way it seems to naturally sing and harmonize with itself when I'm playing lead. At some point I'd like to obtain two other models: A Performer like the one I saw in the shop, and an es335 type hollow body like an as100 or 200.
