For sale: Ibanez RT250AM made in Japan 1993
this model is not listed in any catalogs but is similar to the RT240. Neckpocket lists this as a RT250.

I can't find any reference to an RT240. Where did you see it?

The RT250 is on page 25 of the 1993 catalog (FEB93008).

Cheers

Welcome 10pizzza,

I have an RT240VS.
It looks like this:
http://www.geocities.com/xcvxcv65/ibanez/blueibane z-92rt.htm

And I have a Dutch article about it in an old Music Maker magazine. I would have to look it up. You would probably have to remind me of it, because I have a lot to do this week. Delti-Com (autobandenmarkt.nl) didn't send me my Bridgestone tyres that I wanted to have installed before APK inspection. So if I don't get my car inspected in time, I risk a EUR 95 fine, just because some employee messed up. I think I'm going to call the head office in Germany in the morning. I've been waiting since October 25th and I'm really .

And I have several appointments this week for which I need my car. So if I forget to make a scan for you, please mail me next week.

BTW, the RT240 has TWO single coils and ONE humbucker.
I wouldn't be surprised if your guitar is actually an RT450AM.

None of the RT models in my catalogs have a hum/sing/sing pickup arrangement. The RT240 may have been a non-USA market model.

The RT250 and RT450 share the same hum/single/hum pickup configuration. The only difference I see is the pickups.

RT250 = V6F/RTS/V6F
RT450 = V7/S2/V8

RT's were a very short-lived series. They first appear in the 1992-93 supplement. They are not found in the 1994 catalog.

The specs list of the RT240 of the Blue Horizon site is not correct: there is NO RTS neck humbucker in the RT240.

I like the feel of the neck of the RT.

That would be the "Viper" neck profile. One of my favorites also. Not as radical as the "Wizard" or "Wizard II".

haha!
lots of confusion around this model
I've done some research myself. This model is probably a non-US model released in Europe. The neck-pocket identifies it as a RT250. The color is Amber.
But it does have the thick 'viper' neck and other hardware same as the RT240 as I believe

nice guitar, but I hardly play it since I've got a n S540 as well

I got an e-mail on the 6th (actually APK date) that they will send me my Bridgestones on the 13th.

Still risky, but I want those Potenzas. And I can't get an appointment sooner now anyway.
