Hi guys, I am looking to buy one of these guitars with the two Tri-Sound switches. Everybody knows the routine, near mint or better, all original with tremolo arm. The trem arm can be after market as original trem arms are VERY difficult to find, to my understanding. Does anyone have pics of this guitar they can post? Does anyone have one of these for sale? What would be fair market value for a mint one of these? Arney |

Arney, Aside from this one with the extra switch above the f-hole (which may have been added) I've never seen one with tri-sounds. -Sven |

Edit: Now that I look at the picture, I see that one of the pots has been replaced with a switch. I do not believe that the AM255 was ever offered with tri-sounds, BUT I have seen several AM70s and AM75s with tri-sounds that I believe were installed in the factory as a custom order. So I wouldn't put it past Ibanez. I will take a guess and say that if you saw one with tri-sounds, they were added after production by an owner. -Sven |

Sven, Actually, I have never seen one either. I didn't even know they existed until I read about them on the Cool Contemporary Electrics Forum. Once I found out about them I couldn't get it out of my head? Has that ever happened to any of you, my fellow ICW members? So, I placed the above post to start the search process. It should be interesting learning experience. I will see how it goes. |
