This is a model 2354, SG copy, in excellent condition. It's quite unique in that the headstock face is Cherry, not black, which is the normal for this model. In fact, when I was trying to ID it, I sent pics to a number of collectors, all of whom said they'd never seen one like it. It was made sometime in the 1970-72 time span. All original and in remarkable condition considering the age. A handful of very small finish chips on the bottom edge and the corners of the headstock, and a scratch on the pick guard from the trem arm, are the only things wrong of note as far as the cosmetics go. The neck is straight, the first 3-5 frets have the slightest bit of wear at the E, B, and G strings, the fret board is perfect. The electronics work like they should; quietly. As a players guitar, it's a gem. Fantastic sounding pickups that run the gamut of styles. This being an Ibanez site, I guess I'm preaching to the chior, as far as that goes. It's a great piece of craftsmanship. I'd give it a 9.25 for over all appearance, playability, and sound. I've had several offers over the past 18 months, but didn't want to part with it. Taking those offers, made by people who played it, into consideration, as well as the uniqueness, I'm asking for $1,150.00, which includes insured shipping within the lower 48 states. There's a soft shell case that does the job. Since I can't figure out how to post pics with this, email me at bruceberryny@netzero.com, and I'll send any pics you'd like, and gladly answer any questions. (Many thanks to Harry at the ibanez-vintage-page.) |

Bruce, to post photos, do this... type: \ image {photo} somewhere in the text. then, when you click "preview/post this message"... you will see that a box appears that indicates to you: "your image here" when you go to post at that point, another box opens up and allows you to "browse" for the photo wherever you saved it on your computer. Find the photo on your computer, click "OK" or "Upload" and then the photo will appear in the thread. ***Note: the parantheses you have to use are the sharp ones next to the letter "P" on your keyboard. Not the normal rounded parentheses. ***NOTE: I left spaces between what I typed for you up there because if I didn't, it would have asked me to load a photo. When you do it, don't leave spaces between anything. |

nope..not a lot of response, so i posted it on ebay with quite a reduced starting price. since i couldn't figure out how to do it on ebay, i'll say it here, offers welcome. i have the feeling it might be better said in a new thread, but i don't want to clutter things up. http://www.qksrv.net/click-1802666-10381315?loc=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI .dll%3FViewItem%26item%3D7357750828 |
