hey there -- i've been wanting an artist doubleneck for quite a while, and i finally found one. however, the wife informed me in no uncertain terms that it is to be a zero-sum game. sigh. so i'm breaking up the family (i have an ar2000vv, a 2618, and a 2618-12). i'll be letting go the ar2000vv and the '78 2618-12 (i call it my "poor-man's doubleneck"). the newer one goes first. more images and higher-res shots at http://www.enee.umd.edu/~blj/ar2000vv/ ... let me know what other shots you'd like. the guitar is in NOS condition. i beat on the 2618 so i don't have to beat on this guy ... it's the most goreous guitar i have ever owned, so i keep it relatively immaculate. its story, if you care to know: i ordered it in 2002, got it in 2003. the guys at the store were apologetic for delays & also for not getting the case i ordered, so they gave me an epi case (fits fine, see photo) & didn't charge me for it. so -- not original ibanez 2002 case, but a really nice hardshell nonetheless. as for price, i know i probably can't ask what i paid for it, but i'm hoping to get close. i'll put up pics of the 2618-12 once this goes out the door, but if anybody wants a package deal, let me know ... later, bruce |
