Hello, i want to sell my GB100 from 1995. The guitar is in absolutely perfect playing condition! The optical condition is perfect too, except: - neck-pickup has two small areas where the colour fades - the neck binding on the left edge above the neck pickup has moved and is not edge on edge anymore - some little dings and dongs in the laquer on the back of the guitar There are no breaks and everything is in original condition! You can buy this wonderful instrument for a reasonable price. I ship in any country worldwide. The guitar is located in south germany near ravensburg. please contact me for other fotos or higher resolution ones! best michael www.sunkiss.de

Sorry, i forgot the case! It includes the original luxury case in perfect condition without NO scratches, breakes or other stuff + the key! I bought the guitar in japan on a tour from the first owner. It has never left the living room or the homestudio and is a non-smoking guitar! |

Guitar, then you will have to wash your hands before playing and clean you strings afterward. On the strings of the second Simon & Patrick SP6 I bought there was so much tar, that I could not only smell it but also feel it. Because they were Elixirs I cleaned them with Martin String Wipes, before I sold it to my chain-smoking friend Ray, who's very happy with it. I kept the one with the small top crack repair. Ginger |

you got the point ginger! i do have a smoking room, because my girlfriend and me don't like a smoke smelling house AND i do wash my hands before playing my guitars even if i did smoke or not. and another reason for that is: cleaning guitars is boring for me, so with a handwash before playing i have lesser cleaning sessions, you know . if you buy the guitar - i give you a 100% does-not-smell-like-smoke return garantee + a 100% evrything-is-clean return-garantee too, man! till later michael |

hi bjorn + juha again! a 'reasonable' price is, for me, something that can be discussed - so i invite you guys to discuss that with me if you like. so let me tell you my (not closed) ideas/thoughts about it: 1) i have the GB's on my ebay search since 5 years here in germany + europe. i never found a gb100. 5 years ago a gb10 went for 1030-1110 euro. the last 2 gb10 (talking bout used ones!) went for 12XX + 13XX. with that in mind i would say: a gb100 should be paid with more than that, cause it is a higher value guitar with a higher price if you buy it new - right!? 2) gb100 is out of production and there is only! ONE NEW here in germany for sale for 2.805 euro. the gb10 does sale new here for 2.169. if you do some simple percent-mathematics with these numbers (2.805/2.169/1.250 for a used gb10) you come to the mathematic solution: around 1616 euro for my gb100. and you know: at ebay evrything can happen and i am a control freak - ebay would be my last place to dump this fine guitar. 3) i know my GB100 is not in perfect collectors condition because of the neck-binding, but i think this prob can be handled fine by a good guitar-craftsman. on the other hand the playability + electric state is perfect and can be heard/checked on some of my records/releases and i can guarantee that there is NO prob with a return garantee! 4) i did buy + try a lot of different guitars in the last years (strat, tele, es175, es175 copys, LP, SG, GB10, GB10 korean) and it turned out, that the Yamaha SG is the guitar for me. i have a very fine SG1000 now and i am looking for a fine perfect playability+electric state condition SG2000 + SG3000 which could be part of the deal if one of you guys have one... (by the way: i did like the GB100 best of all hollowbodys i tried, but the hollowbodys are too tricky to handle for recording with a loud fuzz-setup + feedback, you know and its too much money lying around for playing/recording it once a month) 5) i would depend the price on the country of the buyer: european buyers should pay more than us-ones. 6) year Juha! you got the point: i would sell my GB100 for 1900 euro immediately :o) ok folkz - i hope i did not bore you with my thoughts and i hope you have some serious thoughts about the price too - let me know! till later + best michael |

Taking the second hand GB10 as an example to see what your GB100 is worth second hand, is not the way I would have calculated the price, because there's GB10s and GB10s, if you know what I mean. The value of the early ones is higher and they sound better because of their shorter fretboard. The best way to calculate the price of a younger second hand guitar is to take 1/2-2/3. On such a special guitar like this one it's perfectly OK to ask 2/3, which would make 1870 euros. Of course you can give some discount for the small fretboard binding issue, which you already did, quite generously. I'm just talking about the WAY you calculate it, not the result. BTW, I'm interested in a wiring diagram of your SG1000. The former owner of my SG400 modded it with a mini-toggle in one of the potmeter holes. I have original Yamaha push-pull pots now, but no wiring diagram. If I can't get it somewhere, some pictures would help. They are indeed nice guitars too. Ginger |

hi ginger again! thanx for your calculation update. you know, its not about the money with the sale of my gb100. if i store the guitar for 20 years, i am sure i get much more for the money than store it on a 3% bank account, but i do not like instruments hanging around for fun. so - in the moment it looks like a sale for 1.800 euro would be a fair + reasonable price for this instrument, but i wait for some more comments on it here, cause i would prefer to sell to an ibanez fan, even if it takes some weeks here in the forum to find the right price. (= if a potential buyer, who watches the discussion here, get the impression, he wants to jump in for serious transaction talks - send me a message) ginger, do you think there should be a price difference if selling to europe or north america? - in this forum here i had the impression that the european GB prices are too high for the us-collectors. but yesterday i checked gbase and got the impression that GB10 prices are as high over there? SG1000 wiring diagram: year mann, i really really would love to send you a diagram, but this would mean: i am an electric wiring checker, but unfortunately i am not! in my next life i would start with an electric training, followed by a 3 years car-craftsman training. in germany we say: "Handicraft has golden ground!" but this is mostly not the main life-starting-point if you are 18, you know ;o) so i know when a guitar electric is working perfect and to record and mix + measure the result of it, but if the electric is not okay, i have to consult my guitar-craftsman. i can try to make a photo of the opened electricity hole on the back of my SG, but probably that would'nt help with the push-pull's? |

Hello Guitar~ Since the GB100 was never sold in the US, I'd steer clear of comparisons to the more readily available GB10's. You've got a very nice, limited production instrument, especially to us Yanks, who never got a shot at a new GB100. So, set your price and best of luck selling it. I only wish I could make a run at it. |

"ginger, do you think there should be a price difference if selling to europe or north america? - in this forum here i had the impression that the european GB prices are too high for the us-collectors. but yesterday i checked gbase and got the impression that GB10 prices are as high over there?" You should calculate the price in EUROS, since you're in Germany. The starting point is always what you paid for it. It's not your fault that the dollar has weakened. Selling to the USA is of course more difficult with a weakened dollar and a strong euro. So I think you should accept that the selling market has become smaller. But what's wrong with selling it to a European buyer? It's less complicated. You ask euros, he pays you euros. You can even arrange a pickup. You could use a money detector. (I bought one to check the payments of my private customers (people from Albania to Morocco) who come to collect their translated legal documents and pay cash). I think it's also possible to complete the financial part of the transaction at your local bank, where he hands the money to you and you have it immediately checked before it is put on your account. You hand the buyer the guitar and the "Quittung" and ready you are. But if you want to do it all at home: I found a "Geldtester" at Conrad for 29.95 euros, but it looks pretty much the same as this one: http://www.partystuff.be/itemlook.php?lg=nl&hoca=B ar-ware&suca=Geldtester Don't know about the shipping, don't know the company either. But I know the prices went down since I bought mine for 31 euros. But I know Conrad can be trusted. But if you buy from Conrad, you better contact the German mother company. Don't let the money be transferred to your account but let him hand it over to you at the bank. This way he can't use the "Storno" option afterwards, and get his his money back by means of canceling the money transfer. (Guitar gone, money gone). Ginger |
