I have a 1977 2640 for sale. Serial # J776928 It is in excellent condition with an Anvil road case. The case has a droppy liner but otherwise is in good shape. There is a logo of a very popular band stenciled on the case. This guitar was once owned by Gerry Beckley of AMERICA. Serious inquiries are appreciated. The guitar is located in Vermont. Email tldiak@vermontel.net Thanks, Tom |

I got a Saturday job in a music shop when I was 17 and saved up for my first Ibanez. Got it at trade price too! Kids now....bleedin' spoilt and they treat home like a hotel too. six |

He's only 11. But he has his heart set on a private middle school, so I'm doing all I can to get him there. He's received a scholarship for most of it, so I guess that does qualify for earning his share. |

Well private schooling the kids is much better than the government training camps... err indoctorination centers... I mean public schools! Best of luck with the sale since I've been down that road and am thankful I was private schooled. Much respect for your decision! College, however, was a waste of money and 5 years. If the kid wants to go to that, let him pay for it ! |

Thanks for the kind words of support and wisdom. He wants to attend MIT as well! (Tom Scholtz's school you know) Guess I'll have to sell the rest of the collection off. Anyone need a '97 Ford Expedition? |

Goat, I grew up in the UK in the 70's. I went to a public Grammar school. Back then, they were considered the best. I was there a year and the system changed to 'comprehensive education'. A lot of schools merged and things went down hill from there on. Education hasn't really recovered there. We live in Australia now. I've heard that parents are choosing private secondary school education over public. At $5000 AU a term...good luck to them. In fact, they are putting their kids names down before they are born! What is the world coming to? six |
