I have an Ibanez Concord 761, that looks identical of the Guid F50.
It even seem to have a very similar sound. This is, as usual with ibanez a very well built instrument, though is a bit hard to play.
I've posted some pictures of the guitar here:
http://www.rafapeletey.com/concord761
I've bought this guitar from a friend who was his first owner, and he had it since 1980.
I aven't found any info on this guitar over the internet nor in any vintage catalog of Ibanez, so any information will be very apreciated !
The serial number is: A771877

Rpeletey:

That's a beautiful looking jumbo. I'd have to say that it was supposed to be an F50 knock-off, for sure.

I did find this reference at Jim Donahue's site:
#761M maple back sides jumbo model: $360.00

The "M" would stand for the "maple". Your's looks like it has rosewood back and sides. Wish I had more info for you.

Oh, and by the way, it's likely the serial number indicates that this is from 1977.

If she really plays & sounds like an early 70s F-50, SIGN ME UP FOR ONE!

Playing a Guild F-50 (Maple B&S) in '71 changed my life & ultimately, my benchmark in an acoustic guitar.

Tone: Warm & Rich, Like a Martin D-35
Volume/Projection: LOUD! ...Like an Ovation deep bowl
Neck/Action: Lightning fast...like a Les Paul Custom!

The best damned acoustic guitar I've EVER played, to this day!

Life has been so disappointing ever since...

Thank you very much for you replies !
I did'nt had the occasion to play any Guild F-50 so far, but the descriptions I've read about his sound seems to be very similar to my Ibanez. You can listen to (and see) the guitar in action on my myspace page: www.myspace.com/rafapeletey in the video you'll find embeded on the page, if you want to have an idea.
Thanks again !
