Hi everyone, I’m new to this forum and really hope someone can help me! Back in 1965 (ish) my father bought a Spanish guitar for my sister to learn to play. It was subsequently passed on to me in the 70’s There is nothing written on the headstock but inside the sound hole is a label with Ibanez (scroll font), constructor de guitarras, guitarras de artesania, modelo no. 365, desde 1908, Nagoya Japan and made in Japan written on it. The guitar has a fantastic tone and action and I still use it for recording and live work. It certainly holds it’s own alongside my Gibson and Fender guitars. Does anyone know anything about where my guitar was built? Is it an Ibanez? What year it was built in? or any background at all! I’ve spent days on the net trying to track it down without any joy but came across you guys. Hope you can help me out. Thanks. |
