Oorwullie: That serial number scheme is mostly for electric guitars. Most acoustics use a different set of serial numbers. Where is the serial number located on your guitar? On the back of the headstock? The paper label inside? Or on the neck block inside? I have a M340TV. My serial number is 81090213J, it's printed on the paper label inside. It matches catalog scans from the '81 catalog. So, I'd say it was an '81. However, here's an Acoustic catalog page from 1982 that shows both of our models: http://www.noahjames.com/vintagepage/2001acoustics/82aco-maple1.jpg BTW, what country are you in? |

hi john, number is inside on headstock block. i can't read any of the print on your scan, does it say anything about serial nos? i'm from glasgow but live in switzerland,i can always go to the shop in bern that sold it new and no doubt get the definate date. it's actually quite possible that i saw it hanging on the wall or even played it in the showroom! |
