NICE!!! Looks like a D-45 copy... plus vines. It went quick, too! |

I tried to get my wife to let me buy it, but she wasn't receptive. If it had a slightly lower BIN, I'm pretty sure I could have convinced her. The seller has another TAMA up for auction. BIN of $750. Ebay Item #330107171250 |

Both are really beautiful. I know $900.- is a lot of money, but man, what a guitar! I still remember testing a MIJ Sigma SD-35 (solid rosewood) for ƒ1600.- The best intonated dreadnought I ever had in my hands. I didn't decide quick enough and then it was gone. After that I've been looking for a good solid top Sigma for years. Now I own a Korean Sigma SDR-41, which is nice, cheaper but not as super as a solid rosewood of course. But I had it upgraded with a bone bridge and nut. Pity you couldn't convince her, it's a beautiful piece of art. Ginger |

Yeah Ginger, those MIJ Sigma SD-35s were great guitars! I was working in a music store at the time (mid-late 70s) & got to play them side-by-side with the real Martin D-35s... damned close. Amazing for $350, at the time. Of course, I couldn't afford one then, because... I was working in a music store! Any idea what factory made those early MIJ Sigmas? John |

My brother has one he bought brand new way back that he never touches. He tried to learn to play but couldn't get it down. Here is a pic I found of the SD35.
