i have an 83 model nw360 and it has a pattern that some people have told me is spotted birch or a birds eye birch. i have no idea what kind of wood it is but it has an extraordinary sound and it has a spotted pattern all over it. definately one of the best looking guitars i've ever seen. and everyone always wants to buy it from me. i hope someone can help me. i don't have a picture but it's a blonde color as were the NW series, with the spotted pattern. |

And I have an 83 model NW350 with the same construction. It also has what appears to be an 8 piece neck! True birdseye maple sides & back, & perfectly bookmatched spruce top. I asked about it in a post here, & got little info from the peanut gallery. I love mine, & with a humbucker soundhole pickup she's a blues machine. Ibanez sure made some solid axes back when US companies were putting out mostly duds. |
