1998 Vintage Series Info needed

It seems to be a solid mid-priced offering I can't find any info anywhere. What little I do know is from an archive site but I have no specs. The 1998 catalog showed a line of (3) models V100NT (natural),V100BK (Black), and V100CENT (acoustic/ electric natural). The entire line disapeared after 1998. Any one know why? It featured the tempered-neck design and was Korean made. That is about all I could find. I can add to your description the following: All models have mahogany necks, rosewood bridges and fingerboards (with pearl dots), Ivorex nuts and saddles, and chrome die-cast machines. The tops were spruce, but not solid wood. The back and sides were mahogany. What's Ivorex? The catalog says: "Ivorex is harder than bone so it lasts longer and responds faster to your playing. Ivorex offers much more brilliant highs and pronounced lows with slightly less mid-range. These tonal qualities make Ivorex fitted guitars especially suitable for both miking and soloing." What's a tempered neck? "Essentially, our guitar builders carefully shape our tempered necks to thinner and flatter dimensions than standard acoustic necks. Almost all players will find our tempered necks much more comfortable and easier to play. Lead players and soloists performing highly technical material will find tempered necks indispensible." The V100CE-NT was the only model to come with electronics; a 3 band EQ. I like the tempered neck feature. It definately has the characteristics of a neck you might expect to find on a decent electric. I don't suppose the catalog included the MSRP? I bought it via Ebay for $102.50 usd with the original case. I almost wet myself when I opened the case this thing was perfect! I dusted her off and put on a fresh set of Martin 80/20's and I was playing a very sweat rig. Sounds like you got a great deal! (I like your choice of strings, great minds think alike. ) I know the feeling you describe of getting a deal on ebay. On 12/4, I picked up a near mint '81 M340TV. Even without the thorough cleaning I gave it, the condition was stunning. The seller was less than an hour away, so I went and picked it up, saving time and money on shipping. And I got it for 40% less than my '83 NW40, to boot! As I've stated before, the neck profiles on these 80s acoustics is rather thick for my taste, but I guess I just have to get a stronger thumb. Hi guys. I have found enough info on the V100NT. But: I have a VS100NT. Korean made, very similar (same pickguard) as V100NT, but with a distinctive hardwood inlaid ring around the sound hole and (appearently)solid spruce top ('S' for 'solid'?). Anyone any info on this one? Differences to the V100?
