I am working as a salesperson in a local music store, and today I took three guitars as a payment for a new "Woods" solid top acoustic that has a 230 euro price tag (a good one for the price, btw.) One of the guitars we got was an Ibanez F360bk '81, equipped with electric guitar strings from years back. (!) My boss hasn't yet seen the guitar, but I think that I might have the possibility to grab the guitar for very, VERY cheap. Google couldn't help me with info at all, and since Alnico's guitar pages are down, there is very little info I can find. One of these threads revealed the woods (solid spruce, mahogany, rosewood), but I would like to know more. More! What would this be worth on free market? Are collectors ever going to concentrate on old Ibanez acoustics? How many of these were made? With what popular brand would You compare this with? Please share Your opinions also on the guitar itself, I haven't yet set it up for decent strings. -Aki. |

Aki, Try doing a keyword search here. You'll get a few hits, at least one of which has a photo. And if you get hits here, I know without even trying it out that you'll get hits on google. Best, Michael |

Hi Aki, I have an F360BK and I am very happy with it. Not only is it a beautiful guitar to look at, it also packs a superb tone. The guitar has excellent sustain and is nicely integrated from bottom to top. The high end is especially sweet. I can highly recommend the F360BK - you will be very happy with it. Here's a photo. Cheers, Mark |

I'm still proud of my solution.. read on! My girlfriend whom I live with has been thinking of a western guitar to replace the nylon she plays every now and then. Even though being a black guitar (which I don't like that much), I felt I couldn't let this guitar go. The previous owner obviously had no idea what he had, and our shop got a great deal on the guitar(s). So, I bought this Ibanez from our store for 100 euro (including a hard case) and gave it to my girlfriend as a christmas present! Sneaky, huh?! :o) Okay, it is waiting for a new saddlebone and has a few visible but not that deep scars, but still! In decent playable condition. -Aki. |
