Any suggestions on replacement of caps in tone/volume circuit? Looking to fill up the thin spots in the sound of my Ibanez LP.

Just read the old Hollow and semi-hollow body thread about the same problem in the AS80. History repeats itself. 2 Humbuckers are 2 humbuckers, 4 pots of 500KOhm are 4 pots of 500KOhm.
What I learned in the mean time, is that the original pots in Ibanez guitars were made by NOBLE.
The CTS I suggested then have non-metric shafts and could turn out to be too wide! So, whatever you buy, measure the shaft diameter with a CALIPER. The best thing to do, IF you replace a pot is to buy MADE IN JAPAN, so that you don't have to file the wood. You don't want that.

Good luck,

Ginger

Thanks for your reply. It's more the capacitors on the pots that I am concerned with. They lose effectiveness over 30+ years. Just looking for some good suggestions. I'm leaving the pots. Thanks -Jeff-
