Not seen too often but I do not consider them extremely rare. I have two since a few days. Harry has one and there's at least one more floating around here on ICW. This one is a very late lawsuit one F(?)76. Mine are older pre-serials with hexagonal startuners. Better tuners than these cheapo's. Very nice guitar in pretty clean condition. Much cleaner than mine which both have much wear.I do not see any oddities except for the super70 sticker. That should not be there. The pickups are Ibanez funky coils. I like them. Very nice P-90 clones. I am interested in the final bid. I value these guitars quite high. P@ul |

Super 70's sticker is original as are the super 70's soapbars (I've got a pickup just like those stamped super 70's on the back into the metal... very original). Can't vouch for sound, I've never found one of these at a reasonable price to put mine back in, lol. Since this is a 76 it got the super 70's p-90's instead of the odd coil pickups you were talking about. I'd love to have that one but there's no way I'd pay twice what I paid for my pre-lawsuit Ibanez p-90 guitar! In fact I can pull that one apart sometime and see if it has those coil pickups you were talking about Lespaul... I'm curious now. I think one was a Dimarzio and the other was a Super 70's believe it or not... but mine is pre-serial number so I'd like to check again to refresh my memory. I looked for one of these for years... I've seen several but they all went higher than I wanted to go on them... that or I spend all my money on nice Les Pauls and don't have cash left when they pop up in the US, lol. |
