I've dealt with this guy a couple of times and he's a stand-up fella. He usually leaves little to the imagination with the documentation and photographs of the guitars.

My questions to the experts are...

1. Is this really an 88 and not an 83 given the serial number format?

2. Is the BIN price high for this? My VG 2005 guide states it should be around 350, but I might have the wrong model.

Hi,
I think he may have corrected his E-bay entry as there's no mention of '88 in there.

Hi Billy,

I wasn't entirely clear in my post. You're right, he does mention that it's an 1983 guitar. However I thought that with the 6 digit serial number A83XXXX would indicate it was made in Jan of 1988 with the last 5 incicating production number.

Sorry about the confusion... So my question is...

Isn't this 1983 listing really a 1988 model?

No it is a Jan 83 built RR-550CS. Looks to be all original.

Ah the pickup rings have been changed. The originals were the three screw mount.

I have a question about a Rocket Roll II guitar I am trying to repair. It is an 82 and I need the original wiring diagram for it. It appears to have one Volume pot and 2 tone pots with 2 pickups.
Thanks
Don

Shouldn't that be two volumes and a mastertone Don?

Thanks for the question, Paul. Actually I am not sure. There is little I know about the unit. I do know that at some point it had a Dimarzio pick installed that replaced the bridge pick-up. I played it long ago when it was owned by a friend and it played fine then. Don

Hi Don, I think this is what it should be. Wiring is not that difficult to find. Let us know if you cannot find it.
