Ebay Item #280138407779 Harry, what do you think of this one? I don't even see the word Japan on the neckplate! Ginger |

If you look closely at the headstock image, there appears to be some remains of script going up the right side. F? I? Can't tell. |

Actually, I took a close look at the headstock photo and I think I can see the remains of the script "I". Since I've been looking for one of these EXACT GUITARS, I'm bidding. And, to the other bidders who may be ICW members, I'm prepared to go as high as $1978 for it, so you might as well not bid at all. (That last bit is a joke, of course.) -Chuck |

I've been looking for a '70's "CBS" style headstock strat, sunburst with maple neck because that was the first guitar my late brother, Greg, bought when he was a teenager, back in 1976. Of course, his was a Fender, but I added that as one of my targets to reconstitute my old collection. A couple months ago I figured getting an Ibanez version of the same guitar would be great, since I could stay with the Ibanez theme AND get a guitar that was probably built as well as the CBS Strat, and probably for 1/4 the price (considering the Fenders go for about $1500-$2000 on the Bay). My other targets for the "reconstituted" collection are the 2387 Korina V, the 2630 Artist Semi-hollow, and a Gibson Grabber bass, which I'm going to replace with a 2452. -Chuck |

I wouldn't be surprised if eBay would remove it because of keyword spamming: Fender AND Ibanez in the title and NO PROOF for either of them. I wonder how long this will last. And then it will be relisted and the whole circus starts all over again. Anyway, good luck, Ginger |

If you're referring to a Challenger, I don't think it is one. The truss rod cover is not a feature of the Challenger model. I'm not sure what manufacturer this is. |

It's back. I compared what's left of the logo on that guitar to an actual Ibanez logo of the same time period and can't get them to match up. So I don't think it's an Ibanez. |
