Hmmmm.... Non-original tuners, non-original pickups, non-original bridge/tailpiece, added phase switch, missing ashtray... Itīs a pity that itīs "gone" as a collectorīs item but it might be a great player nevertheless. Harry |

I've got one (albeit with replacement tuners and one replacement pup)..and i gotta say it's the best tele I have ever played...I'll stick my neck out and say 675 US is an ABSOLUTE bargain when you consider that Thinlines are hard to come by nowadays unless you want a Fender Mexican one and they're about the same price. ..and the fact that original '69 and '72 ones are going for around 2500. This one dates from 1971(ish) and definitely has that vintage sound. |

If it were an early one (1971 or 1972) it would have a chrome trussrod cover. This one has a plastic TRC and no serial number in the back plate, which means that it was built somewhere between the end of 1972 and august 1975. Harry |

I can understand why someone replaced the pickups AND the bridge. And if you replace the bridge pickup, you MUST buy a new bridge OR DRILL 3 new holes in the original bridge, because these Japanese bridges/pickups have the adjustment screws triangle UPSIDE-DOWN! The former owner of my Sakai thinline tele bought a Fender pickup AND bridge and left the original bridge untouched. The former owner of my Kasuga Custom Tele drilled new holes (pretty badly, so me and our old sax player [who made tailpieces for Egmond in the past] had to alter them a bit for another new pickup.) Ok....check out the bids on the tele. Very suspicious: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&it em=160151747730 Did any ICW members bid? Are these legit ID's?? mk |

I was the first bid at $150. I don't know what you can see as my Id, but it probably looks like c....9 right? That's just the way eBay is hiding user ID's now, instead of using Bidder1, Bidder2, etc. |

I was the winning bidder, as chipsotoole says, the bin was still very reasonable. This still isn't my long lost 2352 dx but it is close. I remember going to a shop in Sydney 16 years ago to swap my brother's ibanez firebird for one of these but it had unfortunately already sold. The tele was $250 and i later bought the 2352 from the same store for $180, those were the days.. I plan to keep this tele as is, maybe swap to a chrome covered neck pickup and remove the phase switches. |

Chucke: You gave me the answer. I didn't realize that eBay had replaced Bidder1, Bidder2, etc. with this new method. Now the ID's make sense. mk |
