I have determined this neck is 2 1/16" where it fits into the pocket. How do I locate a body with a neck pocket and pickguard that small?: |

My 2375 has exactly the same neck. I've always wondered 'bout the headstock: Seems to be two parts glued together. Maybe some left over tele necks or something? Anyone got an idea on this? Rcx, you're a couple of days late because there was an ibanez strat body for sale on ebay the last couple of weeks. I can't seem to find it anymore.... Bad luck! thomas |

I have a decent donor body I plan on using the plasic wood to fill in the gap in the neck pocket. It should work. I can't remember where the body came from but it ought to at least look OK and be usable while I look for the right one. |

The plastic wood worked fine. I will finish this up all the way and post more pic's.

About these glued together headstocks, that's purely economics: you need less wood. You need a full length of wood on the tuning machines side, if you don't use a scarf joint. I you want the wide headstock made of one and the same piece of wood, that piece would have to be twice as wide, and you would have to throw away almost a whole neck. That would be a waste of course. If you look at a transparent finished Gibson (The Paul for instance) headstock you'll find they're glued together as well. Ginger |

Getting close. Just going to wait for the paint to cure and then use water base poly as clear coat. This is great accoustically! There is a bit of a "reverb" sound that is scattererd about on different strings and certain frets. Seems to be eminating from the tremolo springs. My amp bit the dust a few weeks ago and just bought the replacement on eBay tonight so I wont know for sure what this is going to sound like yet. I also have fallen in "love" with the maple striping on the neck just as it exits the body.

Nice work! I love that cream colour. What kind of pups did you put in? |

I am not sure what those pickups are. I bought the loaded body which is problably a cheap MIJ. It is very light in weight but has a very solid tone accoustically. I blew my amp about a month ago, and have the replacement on the way. Once I get my amp I'll know if I need to get PUP's. |
