Ebay Item #280157985675 Should be white, according to the 1975 catalog, but who knows, it may have come in other colors. Interesting staining on the wood (darker on sides), in any case. Looks like at least one non-original pup and bridges/tailpieces are replacement. -Chuck |

Chuck The fact that the sides appear darker than the front and back is due to the fact that the body was actually made of mahogany and the front and back were covered with a thin plate of birch. If you sand the body down to the wood (like is the case with this one) the final effect would be a light natural birch top (and back) and darker sides where the mahogany "surfaces". I must admit that I like the (though non-original, so: pity) looks of this double neck. Harry |
