I have a 77 Les Paul Copy I picked up on eBay. The tuners are worn and need to be replaced. Any suggestions on good replacement tuners? I would like to find tuners I can drop in without making any modifications to the guitar. When I had a tech replace the oxidized bridge and tailpiece he nicked the finish, so I want to do this myself, but don't want to have to widen the peg holes.

Can you post a picture of the back of the headstock with the current tuners?

I also have a 77 Ibanez LP copy. They should be "star" tuners with keystone buttons made by Gotoh.

Here is the modern Gotoh equivalent. The peg holes should be fine, but I'm not sure if the small screw holes are in the same place.
They are item #1955 at this site. Can't paste a direct link to the item because the URL contains a comma, and that causes havoc in the linking format of this site.
